Chua Sock Koong (pictured) is the Group CEO of Singaporean telecoms company SingTel, the country’s largest telecoms provider. She is arguably one of the most important businesswomen in the entire continent. Her decision to invest $500m of SingTel’s money into developing cyber security programmes, smart cities and analytics in Singapore is just one of the many reasons why the small island country is tempting businesses to shift operations to its shores.
