The company now has a truly international reach, with operations spanning 124 countries. In early 2013, it completed the acquisition of Aegis Group, a UK-based media and communications company. The company’s roots date all the way back to 1901, and it ran for years as an advertising agency before moving into communications. It now employs over 43,000 people, and has a 25 percent share of the Japanese advertising market.
